Zach Braff is an adorable, charming DOLL FACE

Zach contributed to a wedding video proposal for a couple in the UK.   Zach is utterly charming.   And so is the video.  I couldn't see the groom very well, but based upon his amazing proposal artwork on camera, I'd marry him in a second (as well as Braff).

Check out this charming video where "Scrubs" actor (and hottie) proposes to the this dude's wife.  I found it on Huntington-Post in an article titled:  "Matt Hulbert Gets 'Scrubs' Star To Help Him Pop The Question".

Hulbert also enlists family and friends to contribute their vote for a "Yes" answer the proposal in video and then compiles it all into the most beautiful and clever representation of love...without being disgusting.  Although, it might be self-serving.   Hulbert's career as a "graphic designer" into a larger trajectory as a result of this.

There are so MANY vignettes in this short video.  Somehow, it's Braff's star power and charm, though, that truly sets the tone.

Personally, I found the two dudes, one who worked for EasyJet Airlines, filmed several "responses" in glorious European cities.

This is really a wonderful show of love.  And evidence of many talented people.

Sexy ANDY MURRAY wins Wimbledon 2013 title

The dude's been on a roll.....I'm so glad that he won the Wimbledon Men's Title today, defeating the gorgeous Novak Djokovic (he is one of the hottest tennis players ever, IMH, along with Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, to name a few).   Talk about a sexy competition.  Murray with his lean and muscular 6' 3" frame and Scottish brogue versus Serbian 6' 2" Djokovic provided a feast for the eyes for those who enjoy male beauty. 

Today's win makes him the first British male to win the British tournament in 77 years.  This dude is on fire.   Good for him!   And a great day for Her Majesty's kingdom.

I particularly found this shot to be beautiful.   Congratulations, Mr. Murray and the United Kingdom.

HENRY CAVILL: Sexiest Man Alive.....undoubtedly. The perfect male form!

I just saw Man of Steel, the new Superman movie that debuted today starring the most perfect man alive, British actor Henry Cavill.   He is utterly, drop-dead gorgeous in this movie.   Sort of makes JFK Jr (R.I.P.) look a little less god-like????? No?

 

His full name is Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill.  He's 30 years old and hails from Jersey, United Kingdom.


I became aware of the beauty and the talent of this actor from the HBO series, The Tudors, which was about King Henry VIII.  Cavill appeared in the series as one of the principal characters, Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, who was King Henry VIII's best friend. (For many years, which is remarkable for anyone who lived around the King didn't really have longevity being a friend Henry's or alive for that matter).

Cavill was astonishingly beautiful in the most manly sort of way in The Tudors. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tudors)   He had a wonderful hairy chest and a sexy full beard.  He was perfect in the role, in a very good television show.

He makes a spectacular Superman in this new reboot of the much-franchised film series.  I was thrilled to see that Henry wasn't waxed/shaved in the Superman film, as is all the fashion these days for men (and so unappealing).   And, he was quite buff.  Although my friend Zack said he thought he was so because of Steroids?  I'm not usually attracted to pumped up men, but Zack is my trainer and I will trust his word. Fortunately, this latest Superman character is buff, but not bizarre looking, which one sees in any gym in your neighborhood.  No Hulks!

At the same time, Cavill's amazing, beautiful, handsome, masculine, virile face in the movie is gaunt. It somehow diminished the steroid-looking body that he displayed.    

He really does fill out the Superman outfit (sans the red speedos which a wardrobe change in this film).

This dude is hot.  Channing Tatum is homely next to this dude.  Voila! 

Henry Cavill is a very talented actor.   The film, although not my usual cup o' tea, was great.

Go see it!  To enjoy two and a half hours of eye candy.....and a compelling and entertaining film and not just because of the eye candy. 

I really think that we'll be seeing a lot more of Henry Cavill in the future.  He is too talented, and like Bradley Cooper, very handsome.  A double threat?   A triple threat?

EWAN McGregor!

This is one beautiful man.

And really a brilliant actor.  He is performing an amazing range of roles and in many ways outperforming (IMHO) his contemporaries.

One of my very favorite films from last year, and for all time, is Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, starring two genius actors:   Ewan McGregor and the goddess, Emily Blunt.  Not to mention the brilliant Kristin Scott Thomas.

I've watched this film maybe twenty times since it was released.  I watched it again the other day a couple of times.   Ewan is so fucking charming.   But I was utterly enchanted when he used the word "doolally" in his sexy Scottish accent (everything about this dude is sexy).

I LOVE this word, "doolally", that his character uses.    It describes the world in which we live.  This is the definition I found from http://thefreedictionary.com/p/doolally:

For this man (and others) you must GO SEE Star Trek

I saw the latest of the Star Trek movie series today, Star Trek: Into Darkness.

OMG, wow, fab, etc.   I truly appreciated Chris Pine's beauty in this film more than previous ones.  All of the actors (Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, etc) are really in fine form and the film has a great script.  Even the Star Trek original series icon, the original "Spock" Leonard Nimoy, makes an impressive, albeit short, appearance.

We saw the 3D version of tho movie.

I am not usually predisposed to these kind of films.   What I mean is that I am not interested in testosterone movies are only about killing destruction, violence, etc, that are geared for  Neanderthal, straight men or their pre- or pubescent counterparts.

As kid, I grew up watching Star Trek (and then the Star Wars films since).  Star Trek always had a before-its-time "hormonal" balance in its characters (although its humor and its scripts reflected the mores of the times). Men could show tenderness.

The plot/script of this movie is great.   The film's ensemble all deliver excellent performances.   Most of them with an homage/slight hint to the their character's personality on the original television series, where applicable.

Chris Pine is as gorgeous in every frame as an actor can be, as was Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook.

You should not miss this.  It was one of the few, and best, testosterone films that I've enjoyed in decades.

He's just the right height, just the right body proportion, hairy in all the right places:  legs, arms, chest, who knows what else.  I'll bet those feet are gigantic, amongst other appendages!  (This might also be Steve McQueen...the face looks like it, but the legs are definitely uniquely long like Cooper's.)

My mother and I have an ongoing discussion that there are so many remarkably beautiful, funny and interesting men today.   Seems as though the species is evolving to a more beautiful form.  I'm interested in men, so I wouldn't be able to make a subjective decision also about women.

Men seem  these days to be even more exceptionally beautiful, handsome and appealing than in the past (except when they shave their body hair).

Ellen DeGeneres, ironically, has at least one or two beautiful, sexy men on every day of her show.   Television shows have the most exquisite specimens of men as cast members.  Maybe that the definition of male beauty has grown more diverse than in the past.  It just seems that wherever I go there are so many remarkably hot men.  Maybe it's simply that I've become middle aged (50) and anything that is younger is more appealing.

So what a great time to live, huh!  When men are utterly beautiful, charming and hopefully evolving from Cro-Magnin.   Except of course, Republicans and religious extremists in any form.

This is beauty.......handsome beauty.  Look at the eyebrows, the long eyelashes, the perfect nose, the lips, the high cheek bones, the chin.   There is nothing else to change.  It is perfect in every way.

There was one man who for me has always embodied and been the very essence and representative of male beauty at it's very best.  That's Gary Cooper.  The photos I've included (I could have posted hundreds, actually) represents the various things that made him so beautiful.  He represents, for me, the ultimate representation of male beauty:  Tall, lean, fit, hairy, stunning face, well-groomed, amongst many other things.  He was also a very talented artist/actor.

ARGO with Ben Affleck: one of this year's best films

I went to see Argo this week. It is at this point the best film I've seen this year, however, I have yet to have see some of the other front-runner, like Lincoln or Les Miserables.

This film is not the type of film I usually go to or enjoy, because these films can be very intense and nerve-wracking. I don't mind sadness, I don't mind dark or esoteric films. I want to be transported out of my own dreary existence when I watch a movie.But being nervous isn't my idea of an alternative state. Thus, I typically shun testosterone films.

But Argo is just so damned good, in every way that I have to rave about it (good script, good directing, good performances, good casting, fascinating and riveting story) because it transcended my usual dislike for "thrillers". I hate to even use that term because it really is so much more than the typical thriller. So much more and so much better.
If you didn't already know it, the movie was produced by (along with George Clooney), directed by, and stars Ben Affleck. It is a complete virtosity of multi-tasking and talent.

The movie also includes an all-star cast including: John Goodman, Tate Donovan, Victor Garber, Chris Messina, Bryan Cranston and the most ubiquitous actor of the year, Alan Arkin.

The movie is loosely based on the true story about six staff members who escape the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979 when the compound was stormed by Iranians and the 54 staff members were taken and held hostage for 444 days. These lucky staff members who escaped capture were working in the embassy's visa applications offices which opened directly onto a street. They were able to escape easily, unlike the hostages who were in more remote locations on the embassy compound. They find refuge at the Canadian Ambassador to Iran's private residence.

Ben Affleck portrays Tony Mendes the CIA agent who was assigned to devise and execute the harrowing responsibility of rescuing the six staff member from the Canadian Ambassador's residence and then getting them out of the country. This story is so extraordinary.

Affleck delivers a performance that is as masterful and nuanced, similar to George Clooney's performance in last year's The Descendants. Affleck certainly deserves an Oscar nomination for Best Actor and Best Director and the film will most assuredly be nominated for Best Picture, at the very least (although I suspect Affleck will be nominated only for Best Director). It currently has four Golden Globe nominations (Best Picture - Drama, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor for Arkin).

This is such an entertaining and intelligent film. Don't miss it. I also should say that another of my favorite movies this year, surprisingly, was Skyfall. Two non-chick flick favorites in one year for me....that's unprecedented.

Oh, and "Argo Fuck Yourself" (see the film...it's utterly charming in this movie the use of my favorite work "fuck").  Best line of the decade!

As an aside, I should mention how fantastically good-looking Affleck is in this film. He has a shirtless scene which displays what is one of the best hairy chests in Hollywood (and under seen), in my opinion. He is simply magnificent looking in this movie, especially his full, dark beard. He is complete eye-candy every moment he is on screen, despite that his character smokes (which true for the time--I did the same thing in the late 70s). Sorry for gushing. But he deserves it.
